Plenty of Glasgow Rangers fans insist that Alfredo Morelos must be in the starting line-up for this evening’s Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen as they aim to overturn a 1-3 deficit from the first leg.
On the eve of the match, radio phone-in show Clyde 1 asked followers on Twitter (@ClydeSSB) whether they feel that the Colombian, who has been strongly linked with a £17m move to Lille, should be included in the team for the game in Germany.

Despite the intense transfer speculation surrounding the 24-year-old, many ‘Gers fans responded to emphatically state that he should be in the line-up for a variety of reasons. Although he has scored just once so far in 2020, Morelos has an excellent record in this competition as its joint-top scorer with six goals. When the qualifying rounds are included, he has 14 goals in the Light Blues’ Europa League run.

Also, he and the rarely-used Greg Stewart will be the only two centre-forwards available to Steven Gerrard. Jermain Defoe is out injured while new signings Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten are ineligible to feature in Europe.

Yes 100 percent Alfredo is as robust as a Nokia 3310 he is never injured (touch wood) and it also could increase his market value if he plays well and scores so it’s a win win for rangers
