A number of Glasgow Rangers fans were infuriated by the behaviour of Ryan Porteous in their 2-2 draw against Hibernian on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was involved in a contentious incident during the match at Easter Road when he took out Alfredo Morelos, receiving a yellow card for his troubles. He also prompted headlines for comments he apparently made after the match whereby he called ‘Gers captain James Tavernier a ‘bad loser‘.
Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard hit back at the Hibs defender over those alleged remarks afterwards, saying: “I think Porteous was saying that Tav’s a bad loser, which I think is a bit cheap coming from him. He got sent off for a really bad tackle when he was losing 3-0 against us here last season.” [via Glasgow Times]

Indeed, Porteous drew the ire of many ‘Gers fans following an incident in this fixture nine months ago, when he was sent off for a reckless challenge on Borna Barisic that sparked confrontation between the respective coaching teams on the touchline. [via BBC]
It seems that the bad blood between him and the Ibrox club heightened yesterday as, according to Glasgow Times, some ‘Gers players refused to acknowledge him immediately after the end of the match.
These ‘Gers fans on Twitter did not hold back in venting their ire at the Hibs defender, with one supporter calling him “a nasty cheat” given his multiple indiscretions against players from the Ibrox club:
