‘Get him upfront’, ‘Watch out Morata’ - Chelsea fans react as 25-year-old impresses in training

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned about Chelsea’s lack of striking depth…

Michy Batshuayi has struggled this term, and whilst Alvaro Morata has done well – that poses a problem as the season progresses.

The Blues really should have recruited over the summer in the position beyond Morata, but that didn’t happen, and many in the pub feel like that could backfire.

It’s no real surprise, then, that the Chelsea fans in the pub went a little crazy when the Blues posted on their official Twitter page a video of a certain Chelsea star scoring a screamer in training.

Certainly not the player you’d expect to be scoring an overhead kick, Thibaut Courtois was the man in question – proving to everyone that he’s more than just great between the sticks.

It’s certainly generated a lot of discussion in the pub, and that has stretched over to social media too. Taking to the internet to react to the strike, some fans are jokingly calling on him to play up front this season if Conte runs out of options.

Judging by the quality of his right-foot, that might not be a bad idea!
