Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Dundee United’s statement about potential SPFL court case

Glasgow Rangers have been busy following the suspension of the Scottish season due to the coronavirus pandemic as they have been taking the fight to the SPFL.

The resolution proposal, for which Dundee’s vote was first not registered and then later changed, started things off. After that debacle, the ‘Gers accused the governing body of corruption and they also provided a 200-page dossier in an attempt to prove as such. They even pushed for an independent investigation into the SPFL but in the end only 12 other sides in the country’s top four divisions backed them.

Hearts and Partick Thistle are now taking on the authority as they attempt to see their respective relegations overturned. If that is the case, then Cove Rangers, Raith Rovers and Dundee United will not be promoted.

Those three clubs are battling Hearts and Partick, too, and it seems that the legal fees are putting them under financial duress. Dundee United have released a statement explaining the situation, which has attracted the attention of some ‘Gers supporters.

It appears they have no sympathy for the Championship winners, who are one of the clubs to benefit from the resolution proposal. These ‘Gers fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts – one even called Dundee United a “pathetic” club – and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
