Glasgow Rangers: Fans hammer George Edmundson

Glasgow Rangers continued their fine pre-season form in the Veolia Trophy as they beat Nice 2-0 to win the competition.

The Gers had already beaten Lyon by the same scoreline before this match, but they were in no mood to take their foot off the gas as they completed a deserved victory over the Ligue 1 side. Jermain Defoe scored the opener, before Jamie Barjonas scored the second to give the Ibrox outfit the win.

There were plenty of impressive performances amongst the ranks of Steven Gerrard’s squad here, but George Edmundson was unfortunately not one of them as per the club’s supporters. In all fairness, he did help the team keep a clean sheet, but it was his passing, for example, that appeared to worry the 54-time Scottish champions’ faithful.
