There have been some top performances so far, but few have impressed as much as Borna Barisic, who signed for £2.2m in 2018. He has averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.72 so far this campaign, already managing one goal and two assists – he has become one of the Ibrox outfit’s most important players.

A year ago on Wednesday, he scored the only goal of the game against St. Mirren in a 1-0 win, and the Gers’ official Twitter account decided to share a video of the goal. This has attracted plenty of attention from the supporters, and many believe that this is the moment that made him a massive player for the club.
