Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy with Greg Docherty sale

Glasgow Rangers have confirmed the sale of Greg Docherty, who has joined Hull City.

The midfielder had been linked with a move to the English League One side, and the transfer has now been completed. The 23-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Tigers, with the option for another year. The fee is reportedly said to be in the region of £400,000.

After signing for £671,000 in 2018, Docherty never really got a chance at Ibrox, managing just 19 appearances. However, those games did bring six assists, and he had successful loan spells with Shrewsbury and Hibernian, where he scored 13 times and provided 16 assists in a combined 58 matches.

It is the level of his displays whilst with other sides that appears to have frustrated the Gers supporters – the general feeling seems to be that this is a bad choice, with one fan even calling it a “ridiculous decision”.
