Glasgow Rangers continued their fantastic early season form against Dundee United at the weekend as they won 4-0 at Ibrox.
The latest league victory, their sixth out of seven games in the Premiership campaign, means they remain on top of table – they have not yet even conceded a goal. However, that latest win did come at a price, with the Gers picking up four injuries throughout the day – Leon Balogun pulled up during the warm-up, whilst Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Jack and Brandon Barker were all forced during the clash.

Now, Steven Gerrard has spoken about how long the Scotland international will be out for, and he confirmed that he will be missing for the next few weeks. This news came ahead of the Europa League tie against Lincoln Red Imps on Thursday.

i kind of expected that with jack, when its a calf or a hamstring, its never really a quick recovery, its always weeks, but we have kamara or aribo who can both step into that role so were covered, and have morelos and itten available, roofe can play as attacking mid

Maybe you could ask Gerrard his thoughts on how many of those injuries happened while Jack was with the international squad?

Ryan Jack is never really ‘fit’ he’s only ever just not injured enough to not play, he’s always carrying some knock. Last season he missed 10 league games out of 30 through injury and season before that 8 out of 33. Can’t build consistency around injury prone players like that.

Win Impact Rating leaders (min of 290 minutes). We all knew loss of Ryan Jack to injury was a big deal…here’s more proof. Also, look it’s Alan Forrest sneaking into the leaderboard for @LiviFCOfficial pic.twitter.com/sjJVtOtMQQ
