Glasgow Rangers continued their promising early season form against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
The ‘Gers beat Killie 2-0 at Ibrox thanks to goals from Kemar Roofe and Ryan Kent. That now puts them top of the Premiership table, six points ahead of their fierce rivals Celtic – they could hardly have hoped for a better start.

Of course, this is a huge season for Steven Gerrard and co – it is important for them to lift a piece of major silverware as they have yet to do so in two years under the former Liverpool captain, whilst they will be desperate to stop the Bhoys from winning 10 league titles in a row.

Clive Tyldesley, who commentates on Rangers TV, believes that the ‘Gers should be more concentrated on winning their own 55th league title rather than being pre-occupied with their fierce rivals. This has attracted plenty of attention from ‘Gers supporters and it seems that many are delighted with his comments as they admire his positivity.
