Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Rod Petrie comments

Glasgow Rangers could hardly have hoped for a better start to the new campaign.

The ‘Gers are currently second in the table, having picked up maximum points from their first two games, whilst also keeping two clean sheets in the process. Not only that, they are already two points clear of their fierce rivals Celtic, who could only draw 1-1 with Kilmarnock last weekend.

There has already been a stumbling block in this new season, though. Aberdeen’s players and Boli Bolingoli of Celtic have breached lockdown and quarantine rules, which has led to both clubs’ next two matches being postponed as it is not safe for them to play.

Rod Petrie, the president of the SFA, said that the Joint Response Group have moved swiftly and decisively to postpone these games, even though Aberdeen were still allowed to play against St. Johnstone last week – their players had already broken the rules at this point.

This was highlighted by Ewan Murray and it has led to plenty of reaction from ‘Gers supporters. Some of them have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
