Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Dale Johnson tweet

After over a year, Glasgow Rangers were finally knocked out of the Europa League last week as they faced Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of their round of 16 tie.

The Gers lost 1-0 after losing 3-1 at Ibrox, meaning they were eliminated from the competition, but it was still a run to be proud of. They started out in the first qualifying round against St. Joseph’s of Gibraltar in July of last year, so to make it so far is quite an achievement.

The UEFA coefficient they picked up for their performances showed just how well they did. The 18.00 points they managed was the same as Borussia Dortmund and 2019 European champions Liverpool, whilst they also did better than Real Madrid’s 17.00.

This was shared by ESPN journalist Dale Johnson, and it appears to have attracted plenty of attention from the Gers supporters. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
