Steven Gerrard has a big season ahead of him in the hot-seat at Glasgow Rangers.
The 40-year-old was a wonderful player, of course, with his career at Liverpool seeing him win the Champions League in 2005, but as a manager he has failed to hit the same heights. Since taking over at Ibrox in 2018, he is yet to win a single trophy – that must surely change this campaign if he wants to remain in a job.

One man who knows all about how to win with the Gers is Walter Smith – the now retired former boss won no less than 10 Premiership titles whilst at the helm in the blue side of Glasgow, and his haul has seen him go down as a legend for the club’s supporters.

On Saturday, the Gers will face Kilmarnock at home, with the game live on Rangers TV – and the club have confirmed that Smith will be one of the pundits for the match. This has delighted the Gers supporters, with some even suggesting he should take over from Gerrard.

Now there is a man who knows how to go out and just win at any cost!
What a laugh this will be if we are not leading at HT. He’ll be off down the tunnel to have a word. https://t.co/uGzeKxpvuq
