As per Transfer 20, Glasgow Rangers target Sekou Gassama has a 50% chance of leaving Real Valladolid this summer.

The Gers reportedly made a bid of €3m (£2.7m) for the striker.

That appears to have been rejected, and there has been little talk of the Ibrox outfit since – now, though, there is a possibility Gassama could leave with offers from around Europe being lodged.

There could well have been a time when Gassama was on Steven Gerrard’s radar – there were some promising signs in the Spanish second division last term as the 25-year-old managed nine goals in 23 games.
However, the 54-time Scottish champions have already been busy from an attacking point of view in the transfer window this summer – they have already signed Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten. Whilst Alfredo Morelos’ potential departure could mean the Gers dip into the market once again to fill that void, they will surely be looking for a more prolific forward – Morelos scored 29 in all competitions last season, whilst Gassama’s nine is the best he has ever managed.

It would be a surprise to see the Gers make another move for the striker, therefore.
