As per MaLigue2.fr, Glasgow Rangers have missed out on the signing of Adrian Grbic from Clermont.

The Gers had been linked with a move for the striker, but it now appears they have missed out on the 23-year-old.

Instead, it is being reported that he will sign for Stade Brestois, who will pay a guaranteed €7m (£6.3m) for his services.

Grbic was in stunning form in Ligue 2 in the previous campaign, scoring a very impressive 17 goals in 26 matches in France’s second tier before the season was prematurely brought to an end – as such, it was always going to be difficult for Clermont to hold on to the striker.
The Gers, therefore, were right to have an eye on the player, but the fee mentioned is probably a bit too steep. After all, he is only valued at £1.8m by Transfermarkt, and other than the previous campaign, his highest league tally is seven strikes – not exactly eye-catching.

Still, he is a goalscoring forward, which is something the Ibrox outfit will need if Alfredo Morelos leaves, as the 54-time Scottish champions expect. Grbic, though, is not going to be the man to potentially replace him.
