Glasgow Rangers: Fans rave about Ianis Hagi

Glasgow Rangers kicked off their Veolia Trophy campaign with a 2-0 victory against Lyon on Thursday.

The Gers were impressive as they beat Les Gones 2-0, and it continues on from their 2-1 victory against Hamilton before they flew out to France for the pre-season competition. Celtic and Nice are also in the competition, and the Gers will now play the other Ligue 1 side on Saturday evening.

Coming back to this game though, and it was Ianis Hagi who had a big say on the final outcome. The Romania international recently signed for £3m, and he played a part in both goals, providing the shot that was eventually given as an own goal for the first strike, before scoring himself with the second.

The Gers fans, it seems, were incredibly impressed by his showing in this clash, and they took to Twitter to praise the 21-year-old – one fan even called him a “beautiful specimen”. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
