Glasgow Rangers: Fans rage at court case development

Glasgow Rangers are now preparing for the 2020/21 campaign, but that is only after several weeks of pure chaos north of the border.

The Gers have been at loggerheads with the SPFL following their handling of the resolution proposal, in which Dundee’s vote was first not counted and then changed. This led to the Gers accusing the governing body of corruption and also providing a 200-page dossier to back up their claims – that was sent to the other 41 clubs in the top four leagues. They even pushed for an independent investigation into the authority, but that was eventually quashed.

Now, Partick Thistle and Hearts have taken up the mantle of holding the SPFL to account, this time over their respective relegations to League One and the Championship. The proceedings between two clubs and the governing body had been in a court of law, but it has now been decided that an SFA arbitration panel will decide the outcome instead.

This has disgusted the Gers supporters – they seem far from happy that this has been allowed to happen, questioning how this will be fair for the two sides, with one fan even calling it a ‘shambles’. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
