According to The Daily Record, Kai Kennedy could be set to leave Glasgow Rangers, which has put Bayern Munich and Manchester City on high alert.
The 18-year-old’s contract runs out next year, which leaves the Gers in a vulnerable position.

The Ibrox outfit are still hopeful of securing a long-term deal, but playing factors mean talks between the two parties have stalled – as such, Bayern and the Citizens are keeping an eye on the situation and could swoop in for his signature.
This is terrible news for Steven Gerrard and Ross Wilson. Kennedy is highly-rated at the club, and if the likes of those two aforementioned outfits are in pursuit, then he must have something special to his game. For him to depart after just a single first-team appearance would be a massive blow.

It could be a repeat of the Billy Gilmour situation. The 19-year-old was also an up-and-coming star at Ibrox, but he moved to Chelsea as a 16-year-old and has now started two Premier League matches this campaign. Imagine if the Gers had managed to keep him at the club – not only would he have offered the team themselves plenty, he would have also been a potential nest egg for the club moving forward, with a fantastic sell-on value – indeed he is already valued at £4m more than he was sold for in 2017.
That is something the Gers cannot afford to repeat with Kennedy. Wilson must do all he can to convince the teenager that his future, at least in the short-term, lies with the 54-time Scottish champions.
