Ross McCrorie has completed a move from Glasgow Rangers to Aberdeen.
A move for the former Gers man had been on the cards after Steven Gerrard had confirmed that, as long as the Ibrox outfit received an offer that was to their liking, the 22-year-old would be out of the door this summer. It appears the Dons have made the bid the 54-time Scottish champions were after, with McCrorie first moving on loan for a campaign before Aberdeen sign him permanently for £350,000 next summer.

At one point, McCrorie looked like he could be a really important player for Gerrard – the boss himself had even said that he could be a future captain for the club. However, in the end, he managed just 55 appearances and spent last season on loan with Portsmouth – his exit has been on the cards for a while.
The one thing that may annoy Ross Wilson is the fee the Gers have received. McCrorie is valued at £810,000 by Transfermarkt, which means that he has been sold for just 43.2% of his worth. He is a 15-time Scotland U21 international, and is also incredibly versatile, having played both in midfield and at right-back – surely they could have got more for him?

Still, it is at least a six-figure sum, and now all involved can move on and hope for better things in the future.
