Glasgow Rangers: Fans rage at Nikola Katic injury

Glasgow Rangers have now started their preparations for what promises to be a huge campaign.

The 2020/21 term is a big one for Steven Gerrard. In his first two seasons at the club, he is yet to win any silverware – he can surely not afford to go a third if he wants be in the job beyond next summer.

Things had started well, with Ianis Hagi, Calvin Bassey and Jon McLaughlin all joining the first-team squad, but the Gers have now been dealt a cruel blow. The Ibrox outfit have confirmed that Nikola Katic will be out for the foreseeable future after he sustained an injury during pre-season training.

Whilst there are no details as to how long he will be available or what the nature of the problem actually is, it leaves Gerrard light at the back. And, following the announcement of the news, it is fair to say the Gers supporters are gutted – one fan even called it a ‘sickening blow’.
