Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy with Matt Polster departure

After just 18 months at Glasgow Rangers, Matt Polster has returned to his homeland, the USA, and joined MLS side New England Revolution.

The 27-year-old made the move to Ibrox in January of last year, joining on a free transfer. He made just one appearance during the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, and although he managed nine more matches in the previous term before it was brought to a premature close, it never looked like he was going to be able to nail down a spot in Steven Gerrard’s starting XI.

Now, though, he has found himself another club, and the Gers are said to have recouped £350,000, which is all profit as he arrived for free.

However, despite that, it appears the Gers supporters are far from happy that he has been moved on, and they appear to think he should have had more chances with one suggesting it is a “poor decision.” They may also be unhappy due to that fact that it leaves them a little short at right-back, having also let Jon Flanagan go this summer.
