According to The Daily Record, Matt Polster has completed a move to New England Revolution.
Polster has reportedly signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the MLS side, with the Gers receiving £350,000 in return.

The report also adds that Steven Gerrard actually did not want him to leave the club, but could not guarantee him enough playing time which was ultimately the reason for the departure.
Polster joined on a free transfer from Chicago Fire last January, but has never really looked like breaking into the first-team squad. He has played just 10 times in all competitions for the Gers, managing one assist along the way – unfortunately for him, he had James Tavernier in his way.
The fact that Gerrard seems disappointed that he will be leaving may not make much sense given his reluctance to play him on a regular basis, but the fact of the matter is he has not done badly in the time on the pitch he has been given. The Gers conceded just two goals in the six league matches in which he played last term, and with Jon Flanagan having left the club following the end of the campaign, Polster may have been promoted to the first back-up spot had he stuck around.

Still, both the 27-year-old and the club will move on, and the Gers have done well to make a £350,000 profit on a player who has barely kicked a ball for them – even if that fee is 18.2% lower than his £428,000 Transfermarkt value.
