Glasgow Rangers’ Matt Polster is set to leave the club to sign for New England Revolution, according to The Daily Record.
Polster made the move to the Gers on a free transfer last January, but has struggled for playing time since then.

Now, it is being reported that he will go back to his homeland in a deal worth up to £400,000.
The move to Ibrox just hasn’t worked out for the one-time USA international. He has made just 10 appearances under Steven Gerrard since making the switch, providing one assist along the way, and therefore a move back to the States is probably in his best interests.

For the Gers, as well, there is no doubt that this looks like a good deal. They could well end up making a £400,000 profit on a player who has never been more than a squad player for the 54-time Scottish champions, which can only be described as an inspired piece of business from Ross Wilson, cleaning up Mark Allen’s questionable deal – at 25 years old when he signed and with two right-backs in James Tavernier and Jon Flanagan already at Gerrard’s disposal, the transfer never really made sense.
All in all, a move to New England would please all involved.
