Despite his injury problems at Liverpool over the past few years causing the Reds in the Transfer Tavern annoyance, there’s little doubt Daniel Sturridge remains a big favourite.
Perennial ailments have seen the 27-year-old’s progress stall in recent seasons, though on his day, he remains one of the major marksmen in Europe.
With that in mind, the striker’s goal for England against Malta at Wembley on Saturday was a milestone in his career.
His bullet header marked 100 goals for both club and country over the course of his career, one that has seen him turn out for Chelsea, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers too.

To mark the occasion, the Three Lions ace took to Twitter to express his thanks to those who have supported him along the way.
It was also the first time he’s notched for his country at Wembley since May 2014, meaning Gareth Southgate could have one of the best strikers in Europe back at his disposal for the good.
