The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments from their 25-year-old forward, Kemar Roofe. The former Oxford United man, whilst speaking in an interview for the Yorkshire Evening Post claimed that the aim for Leeds season was promotion and that they’ve failed this season.
“Obviously our plan was promotion this season and we haven’t got that so we have failed.” #lufc @LeeSobotYEP https://t.co/CxSRo4eaJZ

The Leeds fans propping our ar up would’ve been pinching themselves when they went in at half-time against Preston North-End 1-0 up through an early Kemar Roofe goal. It was shortlived though, as Preston took the lead within seven minutes of the second-half and went on to win 3-1. The result means that Leeds are still chasing their third win of 2018 as their horror show of a season rolls on.
The club would’ve been hopeful of finishing the season in a promotion place this year and were doing well as they hit Christmas. Although relegation form since the turn of the year has seen the club plummet from 6th to 14th as they start to plan for a ninth straight year in the Championship. Paul Heckingbottom would’ve been hoping for more of a reaction to his appointment, although in his 12 games, he’s only managed to pick up 10 points out of a possible 36.
