Liverpool supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their team get back to winning ways on Tuesday night with a 3-0 success over struggling Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their clash with the Terriers having lost to Swansea City and West Brom in their preceding encounters, the latter bringing to an end their participation in this season’s FA Cup. Nonetheless, the result was never really in doubt at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday as goals from Emre Can, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah sealed a comfortable victory for the Merseyside giants, who moved up to third in the division 24 hours later following Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
Subsequently, there have been many delighted Liverpudlians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are eagerly anticipating their side’s crucial clash with fellow Champions League chasers Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Reds fans to discuss, not least a recent report from the club’s official website suggesting that midfielder Adam Lallana is set to resume full training on Friday, although he is unlikely to play a part against Spurs this weekend.
The England international missed the defeat to West Brom and the win over Huddersfield due to a thigh problem, a repercussion of the injury that kept him out of the first few months of the season.
Nonetheless, manager Klopp has confirmed that the 29-year-old is set to return to full training, in news which has unsurprisingly delighted several Liverpool fans on Twitter…
