This will be Guardiola’s first crack at winning a trophy in England as last season didn’t go to plan and many in the bar believe it took the Spaniard a little more time to adjust than he anticipated.

However, this season he has taken all in front of him by storm, barring a couple of little hiccups along the way. The quadruple dream may be over, but our barman thinks they still have a great chance of claiming the treble. The Premier League is near-enough City’s unless a collapse of epic proportions happens in the last few months of the season.

Furthermore, they have a great chance in the Champions League also after smashing FC Basel 0-4 away from home in the first leg of their opening kn0ck-out round.

Although, our landlord takes a different slant on things. What if Guardiola loses the final against Arsenal? Many may deem him as a flop, and there are TWO reasons why…

Big Game Mentality

What we’re looking at seeing on Sunday is if the City players have that big game mentality. Against Wigan in the FA Cup fifth-round tie, despite being down to ten men, City should have been able to brush aside the League One outfit. However, they failed to break down the Latics and it felt to some of our regulars that they simply had to just show up to win.

Alongside the Liverpool match where they faced a bit of pressure from the start, it seems that Guardiola’s team sometimes struggle on certain occasions, and this may be a flaw in the manager’s armour.

Crack Under Pressure

Our punters saw it a lot last season when things weren’t going there way and we have seen it again in the FA Cup match, perhaps the Sky Blues can fold when things aren’t going all their way.
