The Guardiola revolution at The Etihad is well underway with big signings already through the door, but it doesn’t look like Pep is stopping anytime soon. Man City fans in the bar at the Football Transfer Tavern have been struggling to contain their excitement as news is breaking that they are set to lodge a massive bid for one of the most sought after defenders in football.
According to ESPN, the powers that be at Man City are prepared to offer Everton a whopping £50m for their in demand centre-half, John Stones.
To add to the excitement of the Sky Blues’ fans in the bar here, the Daily Mail are reporting that the 22-year-old has told Everton bosses that he wants to make the move and join Guardiola in Manchester.
With the Spaniard having earmarked the England international as a priority this summer, the £50m valuation looks set to be met in order to continue the overhaul at the Etihad.
