Real Madrid have reportedly named five young players across Europe that they want to sign in the near future, and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is among the starlets.
Spanish newspaper Marca have revealed that a five-strong list of up-and-coming players are in the Santiago Bernabeu crosshairs, with the England international earmarked as a potential transfer target.
Wilshere has recently stated that he has no plans to follow the likes of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas in departing the Emirates, and that he would be honoured to spend his entire career at the North London club.
The 19-year-old is under contract until June 2015 at the Gunners, and a huge fee would be required to convince Arsene Wenger to even consider selling his star man.
Marca indicate that the five players are wanted at the capital city side by 2014; the other players included are Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze, Lille’s Eden Hazard, Bayern Munich full-back Rafinha and Athletic Bilbao’s Iker Muniain.
