Our Nottingham Forest fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get signing players in the summer transfer window as they look to build something.
For sure, the men from the City Ground certainly didn’t have the best time of it in 2016/17 but they did at least scrape survival and now they can try and get up the league.
Indeed, Mark Warburton certainly has a job on to return Forest to the glory days of the late 70’s and early 80’s but that, ultimately, is where the fans want to end up.
And, with that in mind, they have been quick to react on Twitter to the fact that on this day in 1979 they were crowned European Champions.
