‘Happy for them both’ - Leeds fans react to figure’s update

There’s been plenty of talk here in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks over the movements of Garry Monk and Pep Clotet.

Indeed, it’s been the Leeds fans leading the conversation, naturally, with both men at the club last season and whilst Clotet has been given a fond farewell with him now at Oxford United, Monk hasn’t been afforded the same.

So, when Monk posted a photo of him with his old assistant on Twitter, plenty was said in reaction to it.

Some fans, of course, were quick to criticise and throw jibes at Monk in particular but others, it has to be said, are just urging for everyone to move on.

Agreed, the stick he gets is due to the way he was taking the club, which only says things about how well he will probably do this year..
