Playing for the club that he’s supported since he was a young boy, Elliott has made nine Premier League appearances so far, with manager Jurgen Klopp singing his praises after describing him as a “special player”. This is considerably more first-team showings than other fringe players like Harry Wilson, who has been at the club his entire career.

Elliott has now put pen to paper with the Championship side until the conclusion of the 2020/21 campaign, which got done just a few hours before Friday’s 5pm domestic deadline passed.
