Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern would have been hoping for a number of names to arrive at the club this summer as they look to mount a fresh charge towards the Premier League.
The Whites have started in the right way by bringing Marcelo Bielsa to the club as their new manager, with the locals delighted with the ambition being shown to bring a man of his experience and quality.
The Argentine has stated that he would like to bring four to five new faces into the club as he looks to strengthen the squad and it appears Phil Hay is able to provide the residents with some updates on key names being touted.
The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist took to his Twitter account to answer a question on what he knew about any possible deals and it appears Leeds are working hard to get a few across the line.
so Hernandez – Leeds need to decide whether to pay the money. Vydra – Leeds need to decide whether to go to £11m/£12m. Gunn – Leeds need to wait and see if City will let him come. Stockdale – still discussing deal. Bartley – need things to sort themselves out at Swansea

He revealed that the club will need to be patient with Angus Gunn and Kyle Bartley with their respective club’s not making a decision, the Whites need to decide on whether to spend as much as they need to on both Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra, whilst they are still discussing a deal with David Stockdale.
Landlord’s Verdict
The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be delighted that the club are being active in the transfer market and could be close to getting at least a couple of deals done. The locals will be desperate for at least one of the strikers to join them as they will be able to add firepower and have a prolific record in the Championship, whilst a deal for at least one of the goalkeepers would seem very possible.
The move for Bartley could take the longest to happen as Swansea City may want to try and keep hold of him, so the Whites may miss out on him altogether.
Leeds fans – thoughts?
