The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager for Eden Hazard to remain at the club for the foreseeable future. The Belgian was the game-winner for the Blues once again over the weekend, having picked up two goals in Chelsea rout over Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
That’s been the tale of the season for the attacker this term, having shown some of his best ever form in a Chelsea shirt.
Following the game, however, according to Nizaar Kinsella of Goal, he had some choice words for reporters – and they will no doubt concern our resident Blues.

Whilst Hazard is clearly not keen to quickly depart Chelsea or force a move away, it’s clear that he is being less than commital about his long-term prospects at Stamford Bridge.
Nobody can question Hazard’s commitment for the team, given his fine recent form, but these quotes do suggest that he does have dreams of playing for a bigger club than the Blues.
Still, the fact that he is happy is good news for Chelsea, and Antonio Conte will be hopeful of achieving silverware in an effort to keep the Belgian happy.
Landlord’s Verdict
An imminent departure for Hazard appears unlikely, and there doesn’t appear to be a chance of him forcing a move away.
However, if a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona were to move for him, these quotes do seem to hint that he might be interested in a move.
Either way, the summer is likely to be a huge for both Chelsea and Hazard.
