The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are firmly focused on the Champions League final, but the words of a former Red have generated a bit of chatter amongst supporters.
Liverpool have enjoyed a fantastic season this term, with Jurgen Klopp really getting the best out of his team.
However, it’s clear that this summer, the Reds need to improve further if they are to have any chance of competing for the Premier League title.
That’s what makes the comments of former Liverpool midfielder Suso particularly interesting. Speaking to the Guardian, he has revealed his desire to return to Anfield at some point during his career.
He said: “Premier League football is different, I would call it special: I would like to play for Liverpool again some day. I grew up there and it is a big club”.
Though, of course, he isn’t committing to an immediate return to Anfield, he certainly seems interested in the prospect of it one day.
This has been a big topic of debate for the Liverpool fans on Twitter, with many taking to the platform to discuss his comments. Many are requesting that the club look to sign the 24-year-old in the future, with one even noting that he could have an impact like Mohamed Salah next season.

Anyone saying Suso should stay far away from this #LFC team is absolutely crazy. We have gotten a gem of a player in Salah who was discarded by Jose/Chelsea and look at him now. Salah wants to prove he belongs. That desire and will to fight is what we want at #LFC always.
