Scoring a double against Tottenham is a sure fire way to earn a lot of fans at Stamford Bridge, with Marcos Alonso doing just that as the Blues stormed to a 2-1 win against the Lilywhites a couple of weeks ago.
Indeed, the Spaniard appears to have stepped up his game this season – and that’s saying something. Last season he was one of Chelsea’s best players, and he has gotten even better this term.
This, alongside Chelsea’s fine form as a collective, must be contributing to his happiness, as his father has revealed to Tutto Mercato Web just how delighted he is to be at Chelsea.
He said: “Marcos [Alonso] at Chelsea is happy. He is playing really well”.
It’s no surprise that Alonso is happy at Chelsea, having become a key part of the first team under Antonio Conte. With Eden Hazard ahead of him, the Spaniard has turned into the perfect wing-back, and Conte deserves so much credit for that.
The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that he will stay at the club for the foreseeable future.

Alonso might be happy, but our landlord is certain that he is making the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern even happier.
He has been in fine form this season, and given that he is the first natural left-back to hold down the spot since the departure of Ashley Cole, it has taken a lot of time and effort for Chelsea to find their man.
The Spaniard has added an extra attacking edge to his game this season, and with very little competition, our landlord is hoping that he will keep his fine form up.
