The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have all been saying the same thing in response to their club’s post, confirming that they’ll be taking part in the International Champions Cup this summer as apart of the Manchester United Tour, you can read more on the Manchester United website. However, the fans have bombarded their club’s post with pleas for the club to sign Frenchman, Anthony Martial on a new deal.

The fans, who will be no doubt excited to see their side turn out in the International Champions Cup, are more concerned with the current contract situation of Anthony Martial. The 22-year-old is one of United’s most influential forwards although he’s struggled for game time recently under Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese tactician has instilled a defensive mentality into the Manchester giants, stifling the attacking creativity of the team in the process.
Martial’s United contract is set to run until summer 2019, meaning the club could be forced to sell him on the cheap in a few months time to avoid losing him under the Bosman Ruling on a free transfer next year. The former Monaco man’s tally of nine Premier League goals in 26 appearances has been a huge boost for United as the 22-year-old has mostly been limited to substitute appearances and starts out of position.
