The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are still celebrating their side’s swift capture of midfielder Fabinho. The Reds quickly moved to tie up a deal for the former Monaco man, and with the impending arrival of Naby Keita, it’s fair to say that the Liverpool midfield will be looking very different next season.
However, still not satisfied, it seems that Liverpool are eager to bring in another midfielder this summer too.
According to French publication Le Parisien, Liverpool have submitted a bid for Lyon ace Nabil Fekir, who has been in stunning form over the last year. The bid is apparently in the £53 million range.
This is significant, as Transfer Markt rate him at £45 million – meaning that this bid is above his apparent market value.
He picked up a stellar 18 goals and 7 assists in the French top flight, marking himself out as one of Europe’s most exciting talents.
Clearly, then, Liverpool would like to bring him in – and it appears as though the Anfield faithful would too.
