The Crystal Palace fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are hoping that with a pre-season and full campaign in charge, Roy Hodgson can be the man to lead the Eagles up the table.
Although many were unhappy with the appointment at the time but Roy Hodgson transformed Crystal Palace and turned them into a strong defensive unit, and a side that were extremely capable on the counter. With additional midfield quality with a player like Jack Wilshere, (who is valued at £18 million on Transfermarkt) Crystal Palace could be hopeful in thinking that their 2018/19 season could be a successful one.
With Ruben Loftus-Cheek returning to Chelsea after his loan deal with the club, Jack Wilshere, who is currently of Arsenal, could be the ultimate replacement if they can’t bring both to the club. Wilshere is a creative spark and despite the injuries he has endured over the past few seasons, his quality is undeniable and it would be a big miss for the Gunners should he leave the club.
In his 40 total appearances last season, Wilshere created 7 assists for his team-mates as well as adding 2 goals. The 26-year-old would bring a newfound quality to Selhurst Park, with Crystal Palace without a player of Wilshere’s quality right now. His passing range is wonderful and he is never afraid of flying into a tackle, something which the Arsenal fans know and love.
Leaving the Emirates this summer, Crystal Palace could prove to Arsenal what a big mistake that could be by giving him the freedom to play and showcase his talent.
