‘Hoping for the others to not pick up an injury’ – fans react to Man City player update

Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing their side get back in action this weekend coming with a big game against Liverpool on the way.

The Citizens are already near the top of the league thanks to a last gasp win over Bournemouth last time out and they’ll be looking for a similar result against a Liverpool team that has also started the season in fine form.

For sure, then, they’ll need their players who are away on international duty to come back fit and firing and the latest update on two important stars is pretty upbeat.

Indeed, Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva have been representing their respective nations recently – as per City’s official Twitter account – and so, with that in mind, here is the best of the response from City fans:
