Howe must drop these 2 Bournemouth players in every game from now on

Most people might not have been able to imagine Bournemouth as a Premier League side a few years ago, but now they’re well established as a top-flight club and their fans in the pub are loving it!

Time-after-time they seem to pick up good results somewhere along the line and in Eddie Howe, they’ve definitely got one of the best young managers in the world, without a shadow of a doubt.

The Cherries sit in thirteenth in the league going into the international break, which our landlord is sure most of their fans would have taken at the start of the campaign.

A pulsating 2-2 draw with Watford was a decent away point picked up but despite the great things that we are seeing at the Vitality Stadium this season, it’s not all been good.

There are a handful of players that have undoubted quality but who aren’t quite doing it this season so far.

So with that in mind, here’s 2 players Eddie Howe should drop in every game from now on…

Jordan Ibe

After such a high-profile move from Liverpool this summer, you’d have thought Jordan Ibe might have been a little more dynamic in this Bournemouth side.

But in-fact, he’s been quite poor, failing to live up to the high fee paid for him by the Cherries this summer.

He was replaced by Joshua King on 62 minutes and it took the Norwegian just under a minute to put the ball in the back of the net. It might be tough for Ibe to continue starting games if there are other substitutes doing better when given the opportunity.

Benik Afobe

After such an unfortunate season last year that was ruined by injury, it’s good to see Callum Wilson back in the first team and amongst the goals.

The likes of Benik Afobe and Joshua King might have to take a backseat as the England hopeful continues to build up his fitness and form. He had an awesome start to last season’s campaign – and many had touted him for and England call-up before he unfortunately sustained an injury.

If he can keep scoring then Benik Afobe will not get in this Cherries team – nor does he deserve to.
