Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are breathing a sigh of relief today after they overcame Burnley at Anfield 2-1 yesterday.
Indeed, you can understand why that’s the case with the Reds once again putting their supporters through the mill in a game that, on paper at least, looked more than winnable.
Certainly, these games have been the ones to cause Liverpool to slip-up this season but thanks to Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can, another shock was avoided.
The real entertainment, though, given that the game was nothing special, came in the match analysis as Jamie Carragher provided some more comedy gold in reaction to Jamie Redknapp interrupting him on Sky.
Carragher is widely respected as one of the best pundits about and when his former Liverpool team-mate jumped in before he’d finished his point, he could not hide his disgust.
