The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club’s announcement of their away kit for the 2018/19 season. The club will wear a purple strip with the badge and sponsors in orange and it’s one that fans will definitely have to adjust to after getting used to this season’s luminous orange away kit. Liverpool have had some shocking kits over the years but it’s fair to say that this one won’t fall into that category. The kit itself is quite nice, although the orange and purple contract has confused a lot of fans. Either way, the strip doesn’t matter as long as the players perform on the pitch when they’re wearing it. This season the club’s best moments came in their home strip and they’ll be keen to have the same happen next season.
The club played the Champions League final in Kiev in Red and although they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid, the fans will treasure that kit as the one that reached the Champions League final in for the first time in 11 years. This season the fans will be hungry for silverware after going so close in Europe. Jurgen Klopp has now lost three finals since taking over at Liverpool and he’ll be keen to correct that, whatever kit his side take to the field in.

This is going to be a kit that the fans will have to get used to. After last season’s orange kit was a huge hit with the fans it was always going to be tough to top it this time around, and it looks like they’ve failed.
