‘I want this to happen more just to see the meltdown’ - Chelsea fans loving shock manager report

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a few busy weeks at Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte’s future is looking increasingly uncertain after a poor campaign in London, and with an FA Cup final occurring this weekend, anything could happen.

A win against Man Utd on Saturday could be enough for him to keep his job, of course, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him quit the club regardless – if he even gets that chance. Abramovich is ruthless, and it remains to be seen whether he will swing the axe this summer.

Nonetheless, regardless of what happens, it will come as no surprise to hear that Chelsea are preparing contingency plans, at least according to Sky Sports. Sky Sports are reporting over on Twitter that if Conte leaves this summer, a shock move for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could be made.

It would, of course, be a huge surprise to see Pochettino swap North London for South West London, given the rivalry between the two clubs, but stranger things have happened.

Unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans over on Twitter are absolutely delighted with the news. They’d love to see the progressive Argentine move across London, with his youth focus – and the simple notion of angering Spurs fans – enough to put a smile on the faces of the Blues online.
