If Allarydce lands these 2 strikers this month, Everton can push for the top seven

Everton fans here in The Transfer Tavern have been breathing huge sighs of relief in recent weeks, with new boss Sam Allardyce performing miracles since replacing Ronald Koeman in November.

Despite defeat to Manchester United, the Toffees are knocking on the door of the top-seven, and fans are excited to see how the former England boss will handle his first transfer window at the helm of the Goodison Park side.

Reinforcements are needed if the club are to continue their surge up the table, and adding goals to his side will certainly be a priority in the coming weeks.

Wayne Rooney has left Man United fans in The Tavern bemoaning Jose Mourinho’s decision to allow the former England captain to return to Everton following his excellent start to the season, but the 32-year-old needs some help in front of goal.

Oumar Niasse has chipped in with goals, but Sandro Ramirez has struggled since his summer move, and Allardyce will know that a couple of new attacking options could guide his side into the top-six.

With that in mind, our landlord has posed the question of who Everton must target, and should look no further than this prolific pair…

Cenk Tosun

Heavily linked with the Toffees in recent weeks, Big Sam must make sure he ties up a deal for the prolific Turkish international striker.

Banging in the goals last season as Besiktas stormed to the Turkish title, Tosun has become one of the hottest properties in European football, and Everton will have to hold off the interest of a host of clubs if they are to make the striker their marquee January signing.

Born in Germany, Tosun made his name with Gaziantepspor, before moving to Besiktas in 2014.

Eight goals to his name already in the league this season and four in the Champions League, Tosun is in electric form, and should be able to translate his record to the English game.

Everton have some fantastic creative players, and with Tosun leading the line and snatching opportunities that come his way, the Toffees looked destined for the top-seven.

Callum Wilson

Bournemouth striker Wilson returned to first-team football recently following an extended spell on the sidelines with a devastating knee injury, but has looked sharp since his reintroduction into the side.

Wilson bagged the equaliser in the Cherries’ recent draw at Brighton and looked extremely dangerous during the game.

Since joining from Coventry City in 2014 Wilson has scored a remarkable thirty-six league goals for Eddie Howe’s side, a record that surpasses many players at this level.

Wilson looks ready for his next move following his prolific spells on the south coast, and Everton could be the next logical step for the 25-year-old star.

A natural goalscorer, Wilson would thrive with the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Rooney feeding him, and Allardyce would certainly be rewarded by the player should he decide to take a punt on him in the coming weeks.

Everton fans, could this pair make a difference to your top-seven ambitions? Have your say below…
