If Antonio Conte joins Inter Milan, Chelsea must appoint 1 of these 2 managers

Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased with their maiden campaign under Antonio Conte, which has led them to express their concerns amidst the current rumours.

Speculation linking Conte with a return to Italy has adorned the back pages throughout the recent weeks, with Inter Milan keen on bringing in the former Juventus boss to lead a new-look side at the San Siro following their takeover last summer.

Inter have struggled to find their feet in recent years and have fallen short of rivalling the top Serie A sides for honours, but the club’s new owners have a plan to get them back to the top – and that includes bringing Conte to the club.

Whilst Chelsea are favoured to keep hold of their manager’s services, Roman Abramovich needs to prepare for the worst to ensure that the Blues don’t take a major step-back, if they do lose Conte’s signature.

Our landlord has identified TWO top-class names he believes would be stellar replacements….

Leonardo Jardim

The Monaco boss has taken Europe by storm this season, as his French principality side are poised to pip Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title and also enjoyed a successful season in the Champions League, reaching the semi-finals before falling to Juventus.

Monaco’s performances have alerted Europe’s elite and they’ll face a tough task this summer keeping the core of their brilliant squad intact, with a wealth of star-players potentially on the way out- and Jardim could follow.

The 42-year-old has stated recently he’ll make a decision on his future at the end of the season and it would be difficult for him to turn down a move to Chelsea, who would give him the funds to build a Europe-conquering side.

Julian Nagelsmann

29-year-old Julian Nagelsmann is regarded as one of the finest young coaches in world football, having led Hoffenheim superbly this season – securing a place in the Champions League for his side next year.

However, it comes at a cost.

Like Monaco, Hoffenheim face a battle to keep their star players and are already set to lose Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy at the end of the season, as the pair agreed to join Bayern Munich midway through the current campaign.

Replacing both players will be difficult and Nagelsmann could consider offers from elsewhere, as Chelsea would offer him funds to build an exceptional side.

Nagelsmann’s most crucial impact could come on the youth front though, as he would be the perfect appointment to get the best out of Chelsea’s array of young stars.
