Everton fans in the Tavern have seen their season flame die in the recent weeks.
The resident Toffee fans in the Tavern were dreaming of a top six finish at the mid-way point of the season but that has not been the case and Ronald Koeman’s men look set to finish seventh in this season’s Premier League.
Furthermore, the Everton fans also look set to lose one of their own in Ross Barkley with boss, Ronald Koeman stating that ‘he was not confident’ that Barkley would be at the club next season. Losing Barkley would be a massive blow for Everton and our landlord believes that the Merseyside club would have to spend big to replace him.
On top of this, Koeman may also have to replace top scorer, Romelu Lukaku who is linked with Chelsea as well as a host of other clubs. These various pieces of news have caused our resident Everton fans in the Tavern to ask just which signings Koeman needs to make to replace these influential players.
As always this has sparked up a mass debated in the Tavern with many punters fantasising how they’d spend their club’s money if they were in control of it which has led to many names being suggested.
Let’s take a look at just THREE of the players the Everton fans believe Koeman must seal immediately…
Andre Gray

Ronald Koeman is reportedly eyeing up Gray to replace current hitman, Romelu Lukaku but Everton do face stiff competition if they are to get their man.
Gray has bagged nine goals in the Premier League this season and would have to up his goal rate if he is to replace Lukaku – however with a better side around him, our landlord believes this could be a shrewd move for the Toffees.
Our resident Everton fans in the Tavern are less convinced but they would be happy to see a hard-working, English footballer lead their line next season which is a bill Gray certainly fits up too.
Gylfi Sigurdsson

Perhaps the most obvious player to replace Ross Barkley, Gylfi Sigurdsson has been the shining light in a poor Swansea City side this season but would the Icelandic international be interested in leaving the Swans following his disappointing time at Spurs last time he left the club?
Our landlord believes Sigurdsson is much more experienced than when he left Swansea last time and he believes the slot opening up in the Everton side for Sigurdsson is a very positive sign in him getting first team football at Everton.
Jordan Pickford

Our landlord believes Ronald Koeman should not waver from the £30million price tag for Jordan Pickford as he believes the young Sunderland keeper is the type of player that can win you points on your own.
The resident Toffees in the Tavern certainly agree and they’d love to see Pickford in an Everton shirt next summer as the young keeper looks to progress his career.
Of course, the interest in Pickford will be high following an impressive season for the Black Cats but Everton may be the perfect move to provide a stepping stone for his career.
