The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Antonio Conte’s future situation gets resolved either way, as the fans are desperate to see some transfer action around the club.
Still even though the summer transfer window has started and we are midway through June, it is still unknown as to whether the Italian will remain in charge of Chelsea next season. Either way, a Europa League finish last campaign isn’t good enough for the Blues’ standards and so transfers and big statements are a must this summer, which our punters believe should start with PSV’s Hirving Lozano, who is valued at £22.5 million on Transfermarkt.
The 22-year-old has considerably upped his performances this season, proven by his stunning statistics of 19 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last year. The prominently left-winger has also played on the other flank and straight through the middle for the Dutch, putting in brilliant performances no matter what. Chelsea already have a lot of talent in attack with players such as Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard but the Mexican at 22 seems to have the makings of a top player that could be a start for the Blues.
He will be on show at the World Cup, looking to impress on the biggest stage of them all and showing teams like Chelsea what they would get if they signed him. Of course, it would be a risk signing Lozano considering that his best form has come in the Dutch league, which isn’t near the high standards of the Premier League. However, his dynamic runs in behind defenders combined with his blistering pace could easily allow Lozano to make a positive impression in England.
