Metro contain a report that has raised a few eyebrows here in the Football Transfer Tavern, after they claimed that Wilfried Zaha has made a dig at David Moyes, further throwing into doubt the relationship between the pair, and of course the long term future of the winger at the club.
One of our punters feels the need to interject at this point, and notes that Moyes may well be leaving (or indeed asked to leave) before Zaha even completes his loan spell at Cardiff City, and that creates some giggles and other nods of the head in the tavern.
What cannot be ignored is the fact that Zaha has clearly gotten on the wrong side of Moyes, who simply refused to even give the player a chance – and looks rather foolish for failing to do so, especially given the form of Zaha and the impact he has had since making the loan switch to South Wales.
The storm was created by the player posting a picture – on a social media site of course – of himself and new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and providing the caption ‘Nothing like someone who believes in you…’
The post was, as per usual in these cases, unsurprisingly deleted, but the damage had been done, much like the comments from Rio Ferdinand a week before.
