It was a fantastic afternoon for everyone involved at Crystal Palace today after the Eagles successfully claimed another big scalp in the Premier League having beaten Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.
The Palace fans lining the bar here in the pub were over-the-moon with the result, which sees them sitting comfortably in mid-table after some fantastic performances over the past couple of weeks.
Big Sam has come in and done a real job with the Eagles having taken over halfway though the campaign and he’s certainly delivered what was promised- keeping the team up, and he’s done that fairly comfortably.
And after the cracking result against Liverpool, it was clear that one man stole the show for the away side and that was Christian Benteke, who came back to haunt his former employers with two goals on the day.
