Our Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Transfer Tavern are not feeling too happy at the moment after their side lost in the play-offs once again last night.
Indeed, the hope was that after last season’s loss in the final, the men from Hillsborough could use the experience to go one better and get into the Premier League.
Instead, though, they lost on penalties to Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield with Fernando Forestieri seeing his spot-kick saved.
It was a nerve-wracking occasion, then, and Carlos Carvalhal apparently said – via Rob Staton on Twitter – that Jordan Rhodes did not want to take a penalty.
